I’m happy to say that my first fashion show of the season wasn’t Anthony Vaccarello’s first show as Saint Laurent creative director, but Gaëlle Constantini’s show, a designer with common sense and so much talent.

And it’s at the short-lived area Le Consulat that she invited us on Tuesday, September 27, at 5pm to discover her very first collection entitled Neo Green 01.

Top-models paraded in minimalistic silhouettes, the cuts are modern, the skirts are voluptuous and the nuances of green are predominant. Neo Green 01 is cool and fresh.

So fresh that we almost forget its eco-responsible aspect (Had nobody told me about it, I would have never guessed that this collection was created from old clothes and household linens…) which is so stunning. Enough to seduce skepticals, those who believe that recycled fashion is grunchy-granola and just for aspiring hippies.

The Gaëlle Constantini fashion workshop is about the art of textile recycling in a chic and fun spirit.
