I went home on a night of fall feeling down in the dumps. I was so exhausted by my everyday life. Have you already felt that way? You know, like nothing goes right and you bear all the world’s misfortune. I can tell you: that night, I felt so bad that I went straight to bed.

When i woke up the next morning, I am used to checking my texts, emails and notifications received during the night: “Wow, so cool that I have 8 more followers on Instagram! I have to check with Dream Paris the photoshoot for next week”. On the spot, I did not notice the text from my friend Naila which said: ‘I saw this and i thought about you. We are winners!! Xo’. An image was attached to the text. I smiled like a child whom is given a peanut butter jam while reading it ! More than my taste bud, it was my brain that needed that word-based spread.

The power of words, few sentences, few lines that make you feel… good or bad, it depends. In this case, it gives me comfort and courage, sweeps along my fatigue of the day before.

So, it is with great pleasure that i share with you those wonderful lines of St Exupery. I do hope that you will be amazed as much as I am so that you share it:

It is madness to hate all roses because you got scratched with one thorn.
To give up on your dreams because one didn’t come true.
To lose faith in prayers because one was not answered,
to give up on our efforts because one of them failed.
To condemn all your friends because one betrayed you, not to believe in love because someone was unfaithful or didn’t love you back.
To throw away all your chances to be happy because you didn’t succeed on the first attempt.
I hope that as you go on your way, you don’t give in nor give up!”

The Little Prince – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
